13 o’clock
One apparently bright night, Simon’s car broke down against a tree; so he got out and started walking. In the distance he could see a dim light for some seconds. When he got closer, he saw it was a, now, dark house. He went up to it and knocked on the door loudly. No one answered. He pushed the door open. He heard a dull noise and he had a strong feeling of…Then he saw a violent movement and fell unconscious to the ground.
‘Wake up!‘ shouted a deafening voice.
Simon did it quickly and his eyes looked for the man who had made this noise. Simon found, in front of him, the dim light of a human figure, the same colour that Simon remembered of the house when he was far. The transparent body had in one hand a mysterious kind of spherical clock.
‘You’re not alive!‘ shouted Simon.
‘And you are like me, you didn’t survive the accident.‘
‘That is not true…‘ but Simon started to remember, he looked at his arms and… He was shining like a ghost too!
‘I will help you,‘ said the ghost, ‘but you will have to help me. You can try to avoid your death for the 13 strokes.‘ The ghost put a hand into the clock and suddenly disappeared.
(o n e) The strokes started to sound. (T w o) Simon didn’t understand anything, but started to run from the house to the place of his accident. (T H R E E – F O U R – F I V E ) The place was so far. (S I X ) But Simon noticed he was a ghost, so he started to fly. (S E V E N – E I G H T – N I N E ). Simon could see him, in his own car. (T E N – E L E V E N ) He saw the tree.(T w e l v e) He got into his car, and pushed the steering wheel (T H I R T E E N) .
It was an apparently bright night, Simon saved himself and his car mysteriously from a tree. The night was starting to get dark. Driving, he saw, in the distance, a dim light for some seconds, so he drove towards it. He saw it was a, now, dark house. He went up to it and knocked on the door loudly. No one answered. Simon had a strong feeling of «deja vu«. He pushed the door open. He heard a dull noise and he had a strong feeling of…Then he saw a violent movement and fell unconscious to the ground.
‘Wake up!‘ shouted a deafening voice.

‘Thanks,’ said Simon, ‘how can I help you?‘
‘Now, you can try to avoid my death during the 13 strokes.‘ The ghost put a hand into the clock and suddenly disappeared.

(o n e) The strokes started to sound. (T w o) Simon was in the same house, but this time it was a bit different. It seemed newer. (T H R E E) Simon imagined that the spherical clock was a time machine. He looked through the window. (F O U R) A carriage arrived and a man with an old hat and a caper was entering the house.(FIVE) Simon followed him on the quiet. (S I X – S E V E N – E I G H T – N I N E).The mysterious man took a dagger, and entered a room. Simon entered too.(T E N) In the room was the ghost, but alive. (E L E V E N) Simon could see the design of the spherical clock and the ghost was the inventor.(T w e l v e) The man with the dagger jumped on to the inventor, but Simon jumped too… (T H I R T E E N) .
‘Wake up!‘ shouted a deafening voice. Simon did it, he could remember what had happened.
‘You must save me!‘ it was, this time, the ghost of the dagger man who was shouting now with the spherical clock in one hand…
Bravo!
